Ruffle it up baby!

I just finished making Aspen these ruffled shorts late last night...they are so stinking cute I can't stand it...but they take forever finishing all those ruffles they way I want...so I haven't decided if I should sell them or not...but they are a take off on this little pant I started selling...I just love fabric and the more different colors I can pair together the more I love it!

This is the new combo I did...Aspen has a similar pair but in green with more flowers on it...very fun and when she is wearing them I get orders for them like crazy!

Such a cute thing to pair up with these crown and cherub tanks I love...and here is miss Aspen's new love...her new Bical shoes...

Kind of reminds me of the Wizard of Oz...

frocks for a fun summer fete!

I can't seem to get photos fast enough of these little reversible bubble dresses! Every time I am working on one...someone walks in and sees it and has to have it! I don't even get them embellished before they are sold! None the less...I had a spare moment to snap a pic of this one. It is a lime green with chandeliers on it and it reverses to this chocolate dot pattern. It has this darling, little flower belt that ties to dress it up even more! What a fabulous party dress...great for a day in the garden I should think!

The green fabric is from Tina Givens...she is so creative...she also does the artwork for the stationary line Cid Pear-- and I just ordered all new labels and tags from them with her imagery...I think they should be here later today!!! The tags I ordered remind me a lot of this fabric but with a little character tucked into the mix! Alright back to sewing...I am working on a new version of this dress with tiered ruffles....stay tuned!

fit for a princess...

I finally got them in....darling pettiskirts from Kaiya Eve Couture...they are a nylon crinoline so they are really soft for your little one to wear....Oh to be such a princess... They made it into the front window in about two-point-five seconds! You have to love that neon yellow and pink! Thankfully my girlie-girl picked the same colors as I did! Now she has some good birthday party couture!

The aqua rainbow is also really fun...we also have an all white, all baby pink, all raspberry...the list goes on and on...and chocolate with a dusty rose!

Aspen couldn't help but dig right into all the tutu fun! Good thing she was wearing her pearls for the occasion!

A little bubbly!

So check out this new dress I made for little miss Aspen...it is completely reversible...the top pic is her casual wear....haha... and the bottom is her party wear! Bejeweled and all! This is born out of necessity though, Aspen loves to dribble milk on purpose to be funny and then her dress is done...so this is a perfect fit for us!

So I made her a couple reversible dresses....and then.....I made this huge stack of burpies to replenish the shop supply!

All in a day's work!

my latest creation for Aspen!

Last week my mom and I were at an estate sale. This was a close friend of our's, and she loved feminine things and lace and antiques as much as we do. Anyhow, bought an old collar from her to make Aspen a dress with and here is the creation! I have enough extra to do one more little dress for her. This is some Sis Boom fabric in purple and white, and then another lace from a slip I had, to make the apron for this dress. She loves it already, though she was asleep when I had the camera ready to go!

bical baby!

These are my new favorite things for little miss Aspen...they are Bical shoes. They are like the old water shoes from back in the day but they have an insanely fun collection of shoes for kids. These are the only things I can keep on Aspen's feet as she is still crawling and walking. They have traction on the bottom as well as arch support. Can't beat that! She loves them; she tries to put a second pair on after we put them on! Little fashion diva! Now she is ready for some summer time fun in our gardens! And then she can just hop on into her pool!

Crowns and Birdies...

Take a peek at the new design!

Finally...a few new pics of one of my new designs! This is my crown stack. I love this design; there are little birds throughout the design and the crowns run the length of the whole onesie...perfect for summertime, right? And there's glitter and Swarovski crystals on the whole thing, life doesn't get better than that!

Finally the new designs are here!

Now, of course once I get my new creations together my camera battery dies! So I only have a few things ready to see! But I will charge the battery tonight and get to it! I designed some new little baby sleep sacs with my Le BeeBee crest in glitter. I love this and it seems to be really popular so I have added several new colorations. The sleep sac is available in fuschia and yellow. The pink is very girlie with swarovski crystals added on it as well!

And ever the fabulous, little helper, Miss Aspen is fixing the clothing in my shop while adorning herself with her own string of pearls! Lucky, little thing!

I made her little tunic dress she has on...every time I get one of these into my shop, they walk out within an hour or so! The front has crystals on it...of course!

Sweet snipettes of new things to come!

I have been working on lots of new summer creations...this is my hot dahlia hat. A bit of a new take on my peony flower hat. There are some really sassy new color combinations for spring and summer. And if I can get my new designs back from my screenprinter, there will be lots of fun new stock to choose from....Here's a sneek peek...

This is one of the new boy designs. There are lots of fun, new colors here too! All little boys love animals so this should be a no-brainer! Stay tuned for more good things to come!

a new frock for annika

This is my latest little creation... My best friend's daughter, my godchild, turned 4 yesterday and I thought I would make her a little dress. My best friend loves everything I design, however her daughter seems to have a more discriminating palate then she does. She is super opinionated, as I am sure so many toddlers are, about what she puts on her tiny, little body! I thought I would give it a go and see what she might enjoy. Alyssa thinks she will love it. I told her I really like it, bring it back to me if she doesn't want it! In fact, this morning as I was scrambling to get it done, two people wanted to buy it! Hee, hee. Love when that happens! I really like the color combo, especially for a toddler... you know they need to be a little more mature looking than the babies! But it still has my signature Swarovski crystals to keep it girlie! I also painted the top as well as the skirt bottom with an interference pink/red paint...you can't see it in a photo but that turned out fun.

renaissance baby

This is a little frock I made for Aspen awhile back....it had to be one of my favorite pieces. This dress combines what I did when I made all women's clothing with what I do now with my children's line. For my ladies' things I used mostly all silk tafettas with lots of ribbon flowers or vintage flowers. This fabric was from scraps of a skirt I had left over and I used old velvet dyed ribbon for the straps...and then added all the silk flowers. The back room at my boutique is stacked about 14 feet high with loads of containes full of my ribbons and flowers and fabrics! I'm sure to anyone else it looks like a huge nightmare, but for me it is like Christmas everyday digging into those containers to find the perfect piece for a project!

The trouble is right now Miss Aspen has still not mastered walking and this poor dress would never last the whole day on her without being completely covered in dirt!

My mom did a painting of this picture above and with the frame Aspen looks just like a baby out of a renaissance painting, especially with the colors in the dress!

Anywho, I make little dresses like this quite often for my boutique, but they don't ever seem to make it into my etsy shop, so I wanted you to see what my passion as a mama couturier is.

Spring pipsqueak baskets have arrived!

I have just a made up a few baby spring baskets with some of my new designs from my shop. This is my new Royal Owl set featuring the Royal Owl gold glitter new designs...with Swarovski crystals and raw edge ruffles. This basket is chock full of modern baby goodies that you will love! There are two burpies in pink that match the onesie fabric and there are some fun little toys that are pink too. I make these up with more or less stuff too for my local boutique. But this basket can also be made up gender neutral or for little boys. I also have one made up in shades of purple for girls...Gotta love spring time!

those first two burp cloths are the ones in the basket...vans by lightning bugs and chocolate lollipop fabric. I like to add lots of ribbons and a cute taggie ribbon on the bottom of the cloth. My baby likes to play with the tags so I put them on for all the babies to love....and then here is the up close on the onesie....love, love, love the new glitter design. They wash up great too in case you were wondering!

I also made lots of new peeps wearing their vintage flowers but I forgot to take them to work today to show you all. I will remember tomorrow!

a little sneak peek!

So I have been building this baby line for a year or so now, and finally I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Today I finally got in one of my new designs from my screen printer. He is super creative too and he knows my love for glitter...and this is actually a little boy or gender neutral design if you can believe it! A little owl with a prince crown...super cute! Here is your first look before it goes in the shop! This is going to be a charcoal grey and red glitter two piece set! So, he told me there was a really cool red glitter and so was born a bevy of new ideas... I also had him print pink and gold glitter for the little girls because we all need our fair share of glitter...and princess crowns...and everything perfectly girlie!

how do you say valentine's day...

Just in case you are looking for some really darling last minute gift ideas for that cute little baby girl in your life, here is our favorite peony hat in red. This hat is awesome and gets so much attention you will hardly be able to walk down the street with your baby. And they are comfy for them! Aspen and I are working on valentines with this picture...glitter hearts and we are good to go!
Or if pink is more your speed...this pink and red combo is so darn cute! These are both available now in my etsy shop....and hopefully soon my online boutique!
