A modern spin on a classic 1950's dress, I just love how this sweet dress turned out! A perfect birthday dress, this frock will be great all through spring, and might just be a darling back to school dress too...Aspen has already told me she thinks this would be a great dress for when she starts kindergarten! I agree completely!

This dress features the Mad Hatter Tea Party Rabbit screenprinted on a vintage linen apron, and then I have added a matching sash to complete the look!

Look who's turning five! My little birthday girl...Miss Aspen Isabella!

Ahhh...where did five years of my life go? Some days can be very long, but I am pretty sure five years just went by in the blink of an eye! In just a few, short days my sweet Aspen will be five! So here is a quick peek at a new dress inspired by a new birthday! I always think it is rather difficult to design dresses to sell this time of year. People are done buying winter, although the season is just getting started...and spring just seems so far off! So here is my attempt at a dress for all seasons!
Complete with a bright pink and black rosette sash to match! And a headband too, if your daughter keeps them on. Aspen is seriously cracking me up with her poses. She was super excited to have her picture taken this afternoon, and I have to say all her poses were in slow motion to accomodate my impromtu photo shoot!

Cupcakes and cocoa with Santa

This weekend we had the great pleasure of going to an early morning Christmas party with Santa! Santa made a special appearance for about an hour with six sweet kiddos. They had a ball and Aspen continues to talk about what Santa told her about his night around the world. He prefers chocolate chip cookies, and not to leave too many carrots for the reindeer or they get excited and wake the kids up in the middle of the night.

It was a great morning with good friends, and really one of our first chances to savor the season with other friends. We do have the house all decked out and small Christmas projects are part of each and every day! Now, if only these tots would realize they need to behave to get their presents!

Take my picture Mommy!!! Take my picture Mommy! Those were the words of the day when London decided she was ready to get decked out for Santa Claus! And only her mother would think my stack of fabrics would be a great background to kick off holiday photos!

My favorite photo, was the above picture of my very own Cupie! Don't ya think? I will save the Santa photos for another day...you will laugh...my girls jump right into Santa's lap, but they are awfully serious about sitting with Santa! Aspen finally managed to ask for something other than a teddy bear (which she has never actually wanted, but always ask for because she gets starstruck around Santa!).

I was just taking a peek at some of last year's holiday clothes and photos....I love to look back, it is so fun to see how much older my girls get in the span of a year....right away, I am taken back to their moods when I snapped the photos!

Aspen cracks me up...she was so not into this shoot, can you tell? She looks so much younger here than she is now. For me, this reminds of two years ago, not one! That sweet bob of curls, and now she has long, curly Rapunzel locks!

I love Christmas fabric! Christmas Dresses! Always such a fun collection to design. This year I have been so busy sewing up the same couple dresses non-stop, I am hoping to maybe offer a couple one of a kinds for Black Friday or Thanksgiving weekend, which will all depend on how healthy my girls stay between now and then. October seemed to be one thing, then the next! We officially had London knock out her front tooth, emergency trip to the dentist, fix the tooth, both girls get strep the next week, then the flu halloween weekend. So that is it for me, now I am ready for healthy kids and family so we can enjoy the holiday season!

Saturday morning the girls and I woke up to the season's first ultra cool temps and some snow! It was a perfect day to snuggle down, sew with the girls at my feet, and then tear into our pumpkins and roast some pumpkin seeds!

Aspen gets right in there to dig out the insides of the pumpkin and harvest the seeds, London on the other hand, thinks it is all too messy. So she just helped Aspen spread them all across the cookie sheet to bake them.

And so after a full two days of sewing and fall projects with the kids, I am almost on top of my holiday sewing! I am getting excited to make a couple new seasonless designs for you all to grab up after the holidays or for your presents under the tree. Hard to believe holiday shopping will be in full swing in a couple weeks! I love this time of year!

A little Christmas Frolic!

Here is my number one reason why you haven't seen me blog much lately!!! This little Christmas set is keeping one busy girl really busy! This year, I finalized all my Christmas designs in August, sent out a few to be photographed, and who knew you all were shopping Christmas in 90 degree weather!

I think I will be reaching my final quantities available in the next week or two, and that is after I was able to score a tad more fabric! Bloomers are all printed red and cream velveteen, so they are cozy and warm on your sweet girls. And the dresses really could not get much more girlie if I tried! There are ruffles, aprons, rosettes.....and every single time I start sewing up one, my two year old asks if this one is going to be her's, so if you think these photos are cute, you will really just gush over it when you see all the pretty details in person!

Now of course, you don't need this all together, and the bloomers are meant to work with all our knit ruffled dresses as well. That way you have a Christmas photo/church look as well as a darling Christmas morning look. Enjoy!

Fall back to school!

We officially kicked off pre-K this week...what a whirlwind, and it is only Wednesday! I have been driving, and driving, and sewing, and driving, and sewing some more...we are on the go! So far, Aspen will tell you she loves everything about school...although, I only get the funniest tidbits of what she says she does at school...mostly she tells me she plays...and then I get the memo of what they did, and it is more along the lines of we counted to 23 in both Spanish and French today, and the kids drew self-portraits...funny...what a kid!

It so cute as the girls get older, or maybe I notice it more as they are together more now that I am home with them both most of the time...they are so close, and they play almost on top of each other constantly. Yesterday, while I was making dinner, they were outside and Aspen was setting up a garden of lemon trees all along the chaise lounge made of iron...she had had all these branches and flowers out, stuck into the iron slats so that London could have a 'lemon garden' to pick lemons from....all while lounging about on the chair. Seriously, that child is so creative....I love to hear what she comes up with...some days I want to make it a book, or have her make it into a book.

Ahh...welcome to the fall school year....and welcome to fall...sometime soon...these cooler nights make me ready to go and grab a pumpkin spice latte!

School Days!

We have been busy around here lately, busy sewing, busy working on Christmas designs, and filling all the normal orders. It has been such a transition to move my business online from running a boutique. Some days, I just want to go back to feel like I have the certainty of visibility with my customer base, but then I think, how visible is it these days? Who shops in boutiques anymore? Almost everyone I know uses the internet as their primary resource to shop for something unique. So here I am building a brand, with a voice that I hope is somewhat unique among all the other boutique children's lines out there!

So today, amongst the sewing, London actually wanted to model for me! I wish I had some cute set up at the ready, but I knew I tried to make one up, she would be done and moment would be over, so here's our little impromptu shoot of one very cute new back to school design. I tried to pick some girlie colors for our girls who want pink all year, but twist it a bit into a fun fall, back to school look. I'm sure you will see more of this design, when it gets photographed for real! Maybe with some bloomers or lacettes...and a pretty light pink lace sleeved tee for the chilly days ahead!

On another note, my other good news is finding out that my oldest gets to go to Pre-K at the elementary school...we have been on a list forever, and finally we made it, just in time for the start of the school year. She's excited to have new friends to follow her thru the ranks in the years to come! Mom might just have to whip up a new, little something for a new day and a new school!

My favorite jacket.....here it is in all its glory! Looks like I have put this jacket on a sweet, ethereal, angelic, little girl, right? Not so much... yesterday, Aspen managed to give her little sister her first haircut...I was sewing a new pettiromper, cut my finger...run off my chair to grab a bandaid...and who swoops in with the scissors, but my sweet angel pictured below....yep, you would never know she could be so mischieveous by these photos, right?

So this fall I partner with Chickapee Creations and Filigree Flowers on etsy to bring you these made to match sashes and head pieces to match our fall collection specifically...so if you love the adornments, you have to visit them to get your own...they are limited, just like this fabulous jacket!

I am getting ready to print up new, fall promotional tags and such...and I am thinking this photo below has to be the one to be my new tag...pure a.n.g.e.l. that's my girl!

Most all new pieces from this photoshoot are now available in my etsy shop...Working on round two now! But if you pick one item that is your must have, let it be this jacket! It is a work of art for sure! I'm pretty sure your little girl won't make it from the parking lot to the inside of the grocery store without a comment on this one!

Don't you just love aprons, I think they make the most fabulous presents....who doesn't love getting one? I think little girls really love them. My two are happy with any sort of apron you throw their way. I tend to like it to be over the top, as you can see...but we have recently found out how happy they can be with a dollar store apron. There is only one of them at my mom's house...and can I tell you how many arguments there have been lately about who gets to wear it...

The full aprons are my latest creation, but the half aprons tend to be the present every little girl needs...and if you are lucky enough to attend the right birthday party, they could just be the presie that is given to each little girl attending the festivities! Yep, that's right, one of my customers had me do 30 of them last spring for her twins' birthday celebration. What a fantastic day that was! I actually handed off the task to my mama! I was so busy trying to stock my shop, run my shop, and take care of two wee girlies I knew I just could not do all of them.

So put your pearls on, break out the lace bloomers and throw on an apron...ruffles tend to make everyday happier! These are the French Market Aprons, all available now in my shop. Stay tuned, I am getting ready to make some fun fall and halloween aprons as well...I just cannot resist...as you all know, I love designing for halloween!!!

I love this photo of Aspen, it is just the happy-go-lucky girl I see all the time without her shy exterior she tends to portray to so many people when they first meet her!

I wanted to add a few tiered knot dresses to my fall line. I really had not done them for awhile and when I was dressing London in some of her sister's old frocks it made me remember how much I love the tiered dresses...so here is the Pumpkin Twirl dress for fall....awesome laying dress, and this is just so cute for back to school photos!

London is wearing the market roses dress...doesn't this just remind you of a French market? It pairs up with the Antoinette linen army pants, currently available online....a little bit of pink for fall...and she had the birdcage shrug over this....the back features one of our fab screenprints....

So did I tell you how humid it was early Sunday morning when we shot this? London's hair is perfect proof of the weather...Aspen's stayed in perfect, little ringlets the whole time, no sign of the humidity...London's is little miss frizz....Just like her mama! London has one of my new full apron's on, as well as the cinnamon layering tee...

So, here you can't see the details, however, Zoe {on the right} is wearing the fall version of my ever popular French Frolic set....since that set was so popular for summer I thought I would offer a fall version...so the apron has the little girl with her balloon...with purple accents...and the pants are velveteen!!! I like to offer pants in the winter that can actually be warm and stylish, and this fits the bill for me! Peasant dresses always seem to be rather popular, and I haven't ever had them on an older model, so here you are! Once again the apron has the girl with her balloon...all in cream and gold... I will also be offering a version with the deerly deer that is one of my most popular fall/winter screenprints!

The whirlwind photoshoot!

So here are some of the first images I have seen of this weekend's photoshoot! I really was so busy taking care of my one high maintenance daughter who preferred no pictures....yes that would be my nameless 2 year old, and then getting outfits on these little ladies, that I had no idea things turned out so pretty!

We had a bit of a snafu with getting all the accessories on time...somehow overnight in fedex world was more like priority mail, so we are missing a few accessories, and we will still be doing a few more outfits, but for now, it all turned out really darling.

And, can I tell you, it was 58 degrees! You think when you are planning an outdoor session mid-june it will be really warm, not the case! It was rather chilly and wet!!! So we had to break out the cowboy boots to stomp around on the grounds!

I had several sashes made by Chickapee Creations made to match our fall collection...they are super fun---can be worn as an actual sash or in your hair as well. And then the pictured hair pretty in these photos is by Filigree Flowers...sort of an everyday fascinator clip for the girlie girl! Aspen wore it out to lunch last week, and loved every minute of attention she had.

And this coat, yes it is a jacket....all lined in pink, in fact you could reverse it! But your little girl can also wear it as a dress if you would like. Such a fun fall piece in my opinion! I love it!

getting ready for a photoshoot!

So next weekend I will be doing my local photoshoot for back to school and fall! I am very excited, and I am under the gun to get it all done! So here is my current plan, for every order I am making right now, as soon as I finish I try to design a new fall piece...so hopefully the four girls will all be adorned equally as darling by the time next sunday rolls around! Designing is always so much fun for me, but sometimes, I put together fabrics over and over and they just don't work, and there goes two hours out of my day! Other times, I get it right away, and those times it seems I can do 3 pieces in two hours! I love those times...but you know when that happens, when I am under the gun to make it and get it done!

Thinking back to when I had Aspen, and started this little thing called Pipsqueak Couture...Pipsqueak Couture was just a logo onesie, a pipsie, with a ruffled bum...and now it flourishes into a large collection. Even just four years ago, it seems like it was so hard to find the fabrics that were just perfectly me! Now, I have to stop myself from thinking they all need to be a part of Pipsqueak Couture! Fabrics are stunning right now, and now I have two little girls to add their opinions of what they like...it is hilarious...I show them fabric one on one with me...so one can't see what the other picks...and what do you know, they both pick the same exact one...each and every single time! Just like clock work! It never ceases to completely crack me up! I hope they always love textiles as much as I do!

Last week I scored a ton of vintage ribbon, old store stock french florals....so you can look forward to that to be a part of the details in the collection! I am working them in bit by bit. I have really tried to mix things up a bit, so you will find darling items you don't already find in the custom boutique ever growning world of little girl's clothing! I have also paired up with a few different designers to bring you some extraordinary details to the next collection! Very fun for me because when each little, pretty accessory arrives, it is like Christmas to open the packages and have the girls try on all the pieces. Sorting out who models what is always interesting around here...it is a fight to the end over every last piece of goodness...each girl wants to wear each darling accessory! And if I try a hair piece on...you would think the world has ended around here...both scream at me that they are the models for hair pieces! I am so blessed to be able to do this, thank you all of you who make it possible for me to stay home with my girls and design and produce Pipsqueak Couture!

Welcome Summer!

Well, this is the start of summer right, Memorial Day weekend? I can't say it feels much like it here, but we are celebrating none the less, or all of my photos will look like fall and winter!

Aspen is wearing her 4th of July dress, under this darling new {it was freeeeezing!} and poor Aspen got stopped over and over about her bloomers! She was a good sport and not as shy as she normally can be!

London went thru the market in her new French Market Apron! I love this little bib apron! It is just the essence of everything girlie! Tiers of ruffles and lace, and then matched up with these little linen and lace bloomers. Under it is all she was wearing one of the new summer sun dresses, that she loves --there is a dog on it, thus love! But she refused any pictures without the apron!
London looks like she is just waiting for her invitation to a mad tea party, what do you think? Her headpiece is one of the beautiful Miss Ruby Sue pieces from our last photo shoot.

Aspen picked all sorts of snowball flowers for London to hold, and London just ate up every single minute of it!

And the shoes...I love these, almost as much as London does! It's funny, Aspen refused to wear any dressy shoes when she was 2...it was only Lelli Kelly's for her...and London loves ballet shoes, she wants to wear them all the time...and yellow, well yellow is her favorite color, and so a match made in heaven was born...London and these wee shoes! All of the above is now available in my etsy shop....so order away...in the mean time I am off to whip up a couple new dresses!

Trunk Show!!! (for Couture...)

It has been crazy around here lately...sick kids...twice, both of them in a span of a week! Lots of orders, lots of photography requests as well! All in all, it is good...but I am behind in getting my invitations out! So I am offering my first local trunk show, post Couture boutique closing, with one of my fabulous ladies' clothing lines! It will be June 1st, Wednesday evening at 5 pm. One of my really close girlfriends has offered to host. I am thrilled, and you are invited! I just finished up the invites to put in the mail now between a waking sickie toddler...seems she is getting up about every 40 minutes b/c she is just uncomfortable! Just thought I would quickly pop in to show you a few more new pictures of new summer designs. Love this ruffled knot top....I see so many things that continually look like versions of the same thing, I like to push the envelope a bit and add that girlie twist...so here is my next spin off a knot top. Charming and girlie, this will work with any sort of bottom. I like that it does fit a bit more than a lot of tops, but is a different option than a t-shirt.

Can you even stand how cute this is? A sweet, little French market!

And then, these are some of the fourth of July pictures. Yet again...a fun spin on the traditional...I think this would be darling for back to school time, and it is definitely perfect for summer. Layers up really cute.

It features a vintage textile in the center, so it is limited as to what I can make...which makes it even better...always nice to know when you buy a boutique dress that it was made special for your little girl!

Welcome to the enchanted forest....

One of my good photographer friends is currently in Germany visiting family, so I loaded her up with some new designs...check it all out!! Isn't this place just magical...just like an enchanted fairytale, right up my alley!

This is the new tweaked version of the Lulu Difiore top...had to modify it a bit as fabrics get discontinued constantly...and then I can't recreate it...so here is the 2nd edition! And these are the frolic ruffle bloomers, sort of a cute option on the older girls...more ruffles and no lace. Still the big bows...and sometimes I do these with rosettes...just depends on what the customer is looking for. Zoe wanted bows, so that is just what this little princess got!

So enchanted fairytale, or maybe it is Alice In Wonderland, which do you think? Once again, fabulous headpieces are by Miss Ruby Sue on etsy...we have several more collaborations on the way, so stay tuned!

This is the shot that speaks to me that she is Alice...I mean, she just looks like she is headed right down the rabbit hole to a mad tea party, right?!

On a recent rare and bright sunny day...London was my little model...a perfect, sweet model...sporting the new tiny coquette set! I designed this style top as a fun and different option than a plain tee or tank with our skirts and ruffle pants...darling for a hot summer day....now if we could just start to have a few of those days!

Notice now London will again wear hair clips and headbands if I ask...how did that happen? You never know what passes through that little mind, but I will take advantage of it while I can, and hopefully when we do our professional shoot in June, that will still be her attitude!

She's pretty hard to resist with that blossom on her head and little smirk on her face!

London Valentina is TWO!

Happy birthday precious London! London is showing off a first sneak peek at our 4th of July goods! This is the patriotic pixie dress...London is obsessed with this fabric, can I just say I love having two girls that love fabric and girlie clothes as much as I do {they both keep picking the exact same fabric to have dresses made out of, when I show them individually not knowing what the other picked!}

What a blessed day it is, Miss London Valentina turned two! Hard to believe two years has flown right by me, and my sweet, little babe that looked like that, has grown into this....eating her scoop of cotton candy ice cream at a little vintage style soda straw!

London was quite agreeable today, when I asked if she would wear a bow in her hair she happily agreed she would {which seems to be a rarity lately}...All this child wanted for her birthday was a pie...no toys, just pie! So thankfully, the best pie maker in town, my mama, made her a fresh blackberry pie!

Here the girls are just before we walked out the door to go to London's party...all dressed for a party, singing happy birthday! Aah...how long it has taken to get a picture like this...so many stages of jealousy, and someone not paying attention to mommy taking pics...and now, two sweet buddies, anxious for a party picture together.....I got to thinking what Aspen looked like as she turned two...and had to post a picture just to refresh your memory...she looks like a little pixie! I guess she still does have the fairy bit about her....or should I say angelic...her golden ringlets all about her make people say that almost daily...but don't let her fool you, she is the mischieveous one...and her sister is the one who sits there eating a proper meal, and putting the toys away that her Aspen refuses to!

Now that I have digressed comparing the girls...back to the party...here little London is picking her treats...all the kids were fascinated with this wall of candy...seriously, why did I even bother with ice cream and floats...all they could talk about was when were they going to pick out their favorite candies!
How much do you love this dress...one of my sweet customers gave this to me! She and I both love this line, and she happened upon a sale, and could afford one of these little darlings, and after her daughter outgrew it, she blessed me with this fab party dress...how could it not be London's birthday dress? I will have to gather pics from my phone, as my camera batteries died at the party, and I had to resort to my phone to snap pics...so stay tuned for more party goodness!

Cheers to being out of the baby stage, and on to toddlerhood!

The first of the new summer designs!

I am so thrilled to show you these photos....these are the first two summer pieces I will be listing online shortly! Pink Paisley Photography just took the most darling photos of this set! Cassie and I have the same whimisical taste....if you know me...then you know how I love things to have a whimsical, vintage feel to them, and that is exactly Cassie's mindset as well!

So this is the French Frolic halter dress...and bloomers....What you don't really see, is that this dress has a darling little girl with her pink glitter balloon screenprinted on the apron....her dress is embellished in vintage lace and she has ribbons adorning the balloon. The dress is a great piece that should wear as a dress for the first year, and a top later on...the back is shirred and will adjust to fit perfectly as your little girl grows.

And to top it off every little girl needs some fantastic, edgy bloomers...these are our twist on a traditional bloomer pant...vintage lace trim, cinched knee and large bows at the knee as well.

I was showing these photos to Aspen, as per usual she loved the photos...she told me she wanted a pair of the shoes, and she liked the cake b/c it looked like little pillows! Love that child! And, if you love the head piece...of to Miss Ruby Sue you must go, she made up this little ditty just to match this outfit! Now I am off to finish sewing up some Easter orders...so this will have to appease you for now! More soon I promise!

Yes, the day has finally arrived...when I am no longer thinking, "just two more car loads and I will have moved the rest of things I insist on keeping back to my house." Everything is all cleaned up and finished...and onto some real business now! So just before my phone died on me for good, I was spending some time with Lauren, my local Matilda Jane TK, and she taught me how to make my own button! So check it on out over there to your right, and please use it! Of course now that I have it all down, I am having a few fun photoshoots coming up, and I will probably want to use a different photo...that is just how I am! But for now, there you go!!! It's funny, as you start to push out the negative things in your life, all that is left is the room for positive...and I am positive that is just what is happening in my life! The last week I was open, I came in to check my email, and low and behold, there are two perfect, online business connections I had been looking to make for quite some time...asking me to partner with them! And can I even tell you, almost every day since then, that is exactly what is happening! Bring on the positive baby! I am ready to head full force into moving my business forward online! And for you that means lots of fun, new creations coming your way looking better than ever before! And for my girls it means taking the time to have a break during the day to head to the zoo, or the park and do the things some of you lucky stay at home moms get to do more frequently than I ever have! Cheers to my sanity coming back to me!

Our Valentine's Girls...

So after last week being one of the longest weeks of my life...I had to sew Aspen some cute, new Valentine pants for her little party at school! These are my new variation on the garden party ruffle pants, but they have a little cinched bloomer style leg. Very fun...and large rosettes...can't beat that!

So I snapped this quick picture just as we were leaving for school...so London managed to grab the binky and put it into her mouth in the time it took me to get the camera focused on them! Can you stand it! Oh well, it will have to do for now, as I told you last week was such a long week with sick kids and a watered down shop that this was a fight not worth the fight on such a loving day! Sorry mom! She and I both hate binkies in pictures!

On another note, it is pretty hilarious Aspen has this baby doll in her arms...she is definitely not into them a whole lot but on Valentine's day morning I guess she wanted to share the love!

Hopefully in the next few days I will get some shots of a bit of the new spring inventory...I spent my free time in a watered down haze, so now I am playing catch up online...hang tight girls! You will love it!

Meet Miss Lola Ruffles...

Hard to believe I am working on spring and summer collections right now, but that is just how it works in this business! So meet the Lola Ruffle dress...this spring and summer's collections will be all about ruffles, lace and roses...what more could a little girl want in her life!

I love the way halter dresses and tops look on little girls...especially when it gets really warm, it just seems like the perfect thing to wear! So this dress and the Cosette are both available in the same color palette: ctiron, orchid, cotton candy pink, and powder blue.

I will also be offering the matching garden party ruffle pants or lace trimmed leggings to go with either version of ruffled dress!

This is one of my new favorites for spring...I love all the ruffles...and this dress sort of reminds me of an orphan dress...a little orphan sweeping her house....which is why the name is Cosette...from Les Miserables...very fitting, right?

So Aspen agreed to a photo shoot, if I let her accessorize herself...so here you go...my girl in all her overabundance of accessories. The other night, yes I said night, we went to the bookstore and she was insistent to wear her sunglasses, all these necklace you see here, and her dog purse...which led to these two little girls following us thru the whole store to point out what Aspen looked like walking around in sunglasses at night!

I was completely thinking I had posted to this blog since the new year....hmmm...I wonder what happened! I guess my life has been a whirl wind of holidays and birthdays with bits of sewing happening all the while and I completely forgot to keep up with the blog!

New Year's Eve Aspen is turning 4 years old!!! Very hard for me to believe...so I thought it would be fun to do a year in review, a picture from each month, showcasing Miss Aspen in her Pipsqueak Couture! Above, is the outfit I made her for her 3rd birthday....we missed out on her mini party as both girls got really sick, London got pneumonia at just 8 months old!

Then in Feb. I was at the height of working on Easter dresses....so here are a couple pics of Easter clothes on Aspen! It's so funny when you see them everyday, they never look like they age...but then all of the sudden, your toddler looks like a young girl just like that!

These photos are actually around Easter...I remember Aspen being in a daze in the pink Aspen in wonderland dress....she was so sick poor girl!

And finally in May spring hit, and we could get out in the yard more!

I love this photo of Aspen above....she looks so much older here, than she did right as she turned three! Down below was our Halloween 2010 photoshoot done end of june beginning of july...
So that halloween photo is another all time fave!! And below it is back to school time!.....

Fall harvest...this summer we grew our own pumpkins and veggies in the back yard and in October we were still able to pick carrots with the warm fall we had! I think this was the highlight of Aspen's summer was to have her own veggie garden!

Amazing in October we were able to wear something sleeveless around here! And in November we were in full Christmas swing.....and somehow, Aspen no longer wants to pose for pictures for me....

December, as you know....still no posing for her mother!!!! I thought kids were supposed to get easier as they turned four....I wonder what sort of year I am in for in 2011!!!!

These are the ruby rosette pants...they are a heavy printed velveteen fabric, the perfect winter pant! I wished I could have had these in stock back in October, but the fabric didn't get released until December...so it has been a mad dash of making these little babies, so the girls can wear them all winter!

My spring collection is all about the rosettes on everything, so what better way to entice you than to show you these Valentine pants, London is wearing with her nutcracker dress now...

They are really just the sweetest things...London just rubs these pants constantly and then touches the rosette...she is a girlie girl for sure, she put on all the pearls herself!!!

Once again, I am at it trying to capture a cute picture of two girls together....and as you can see Aspen just ran off, telling me she preferred not to be in the picture because she didn't want to smile in them! Next year, I have decided maybe I just need to have my card feature several images of these two by themselves so they both look cute individually!

I think my best one is this one where Aspen is forcing her sister to hold her hand! And she is hoarding the vintage kitties from her sister! And I have not even gotten the matching dress for little London done yet...so she isn't even wearing Pipsqueak Couture in our Christmas photo!

Can you just feel the love between these two?!? Sharing toddler secrets, I just love it!

Not really sure where all the time goes...I haven't made my kids a single new Christmas outfit and normally they are all done by now...haven't even thought of what my Christmas cards should look like...and two years ago, they were already in the mail!

So, maybe if I put my tree up this weekend I won't feel so completely behind. At least my shopping is already started!

So since I can't show you a really darling Christmas outfit, you will just have to settle for the cutest babylegs a girl needs to have! These lacettes are seriously cute...like little bloomers but easier! Now just wait til I show you the ones with the pom-poms on the bottom!

I love Miss London wearing this hat, with her curls sticking out! Too bad she takes it off every other minute...I think she needs a little red one for Christmas to wear to church on Christmas eve!

A new little design I have just finished up...I was really thinking of this as part of spring, but not red for spring...so this one was my test run...a little bow romper, with an elastic smocked bodice and double ruffle pants...I thought it was a fun twist on the double ruffle pants I love so much!

What's a girl to do but love this little outfit! London sure adores the bows, it is actually really funny how she makes sure they are still there and perfect!

Super comfy, ultra easy, I would say this a perfect little outfit for any day of the week, it layers up very easily as well to wear in the winter months!

London just followed in her sister's footsteps all morning long....with a little less listening than her sister does though!

Aspen has been asking to do Christmas decorating at the shop everyday this week, and finally late Thursday our first batch of Christmas ornaments and trees arrived...of course she loaded up all the bottoms of the feather trees full of ornaments before I even got prices on things!

We both loved these little vintage looking parakeets....which are glass of course...and I was trying to pry them out of little missie's hands! You have to see this little box in real life to appreciate just how amazing it is....all designed by my mom...the woman who can manage to get more done in a day than I can ever hope to! She made this little ditty...and seven aprons in a day for me!

Can you even stand this little darling? I feel like this is Aspen...in doll form..complete with wreath in her hands!

Ah, I wish my little world was always this sparkly...I just love this time of year! So fun to design and create things, whether they end up clothing or decorations!

This morning when we got in the car, I told Aspen we were taking Christmas pics...she said she didn't want to...I totally figured I would get her to change her mind because she is usually good about taking photos...well not today...she wanted nothing to do with any of it, as you can see. I told her I would show her these pictures when she was older and tease her! There are definitely ones worse than what I am sharing is all I can say!

None the less, this is the Peace, Love and Joy dress for Christmas in shades of red, green and aqua...a little more traditional colors than my usual styling. I love the big bell sleeve on it...kind of fun for a twist of something different!

I think bottom one was about as good as it got for me today...definitely not interested in pictures is all I can say!

Aspen has decided she needs hats...hats for school for fall...so she will be adorned in the lastest Pipsqueak Couture hats for toddlers come fall...if it ever arrives...I think it was about 88 degrees the day I took this photo...maybe why she was insistent to stay inside and take a picture!

Cute none the less though, right? I always feel like when she smiles this big is the only time she looks much like me. Ha! I will take what I can get from her!

The hearts are trimmed in black glitter which you see I didn't really capture in these photos, but this skirt is so darling in person! Ultra girlie, and one of those skirts that a child will want to wear all the time, not just for halloween!

So I was going to post more Halloween stuff, but I thought I just had to juxtapose London from last year, to London in 2010..wow, what a difference year makes! So here are your first sneak peeks of Deerly damask.....a twirly, comfy dress fit to open presents in! This is the red version, and there's currently a chocolate/pink/gold version and a chocolate/aqua/gold version as well in the long sleeves.

It is just beyond cute in person....and perfectly holiday...I wish I had my Christmas babylegs around when I dressed London so you could get the full effect! I will also offer a garden ruffle pant in a christmas fabric to match.

I was just going thru images of Christmas from 2009, to see the designs I was going forward with...and I came across miss London....such a little peanut....and now she is full on toddler/little girl, not like a baby...how quickly it changes! It makes me wonder if I am going to have as difficult a time getting some good Christmas pics of my girls together. I told my mom I wanted to take Christmas photos in October so I could have a good start on things.

None the less, my etsy shop is being stocked up with not only Halloween clothing but now I am working on Christmas....this sweet dress is one I can't resist keeping in the line! Baby size only, up to 24 months. There is a great version I am doing in a long sleeve damask twirl dress...in red, green and gold. One version will have this bird...and one will be even more festive with a deer and pine cones....and lots of flourishes! Those dresses will be stocked from 6 months to 6 years.

Alright ladies, if you are waiting on the halloween goods to finally be listed on etsy, they are all making their way there! It is quite the tedious process to fit in between running a boutique and having toddlers at your feet, but I am trying to get all the fall and halloween pieces listed this week....and then next week I hope to start on Christmas...yikes!

I was driving yesterday on what was the perfect fall sort of day....thinking how I just love this time of year...as I gear up making all the halloween and Christmas things for my boutique, by the time I am thoroughly caught up, it is actually October....and let the festivities begin. I can tell Aspen is the same way, as yesterday for whatever reason she decided to make her Christmas list, as well as London's list...that's right, she has decided to tell London what she needs to put on her list! I don't imagine London will stand for it very long because she already is very boisterous about telling her sister what's what.

And Aspen has told me that she will be a spider for Halloween and London will be a pumpkin. Yep, she picked what her sister should be...we will see about that! Hard to believe a year earlier, she said the exact same thing to me, and she was a spider.

All of the sudden Aspen is very into Cinderella...she is not normally my princess girl so much....but lately she is into it!!! So I thought it very fitting to title my frantic halloween post with a little Cinderella.

So in a week, all of my halloween goods have managed to walk right out the front door, so I am madly sewing up a new collection of halloween confections! Not that I mind, as I have said, designing halloween clothes is one of my favorite things to do!

I just love these halloween photos on this bench with this wall as the background....so fitting for the season....and I really love the pink cowgirl boots...oh my 'little fashion girl' as Aspen likes to call herself...."let's do fashion mommy!" and all of the sudden she is drapped in ribbons and has hats than she adorns herself with flowers....what is going to be of this child growing up in a clothing boutique!

It's that time of year again...as August hits I always try to have halloween goodies in stock for the kids to get the maximum use of the close I like to design most...and then I try to stock Christmas by September, so I am in full speed ahead design mode at the moment, and not such a great blogger these days. I am always fascinated with those of you creative gals that can manage to keep on top of your blog and create because I struggle to do both!

So here are a few more design choices for Halloween 2010...I also have the cutest applique pumpkin apron dress, and knot dress, that I don't seem to have a picture of yet! It's so cute, I cannot resist putting it for sale in the shop, and everyday I finish one, I seem to sell it right then and there! So tell me what you girls want and like and I will hop to it!

This weekend we were finally about to shoot some of the back to school, fall and halloween pieces! It had to be the most darling thing I have ever seen...I mean first of all, just look at where we were...the most secret of hidden gardens in a very special person's backyard...I dream I have a garden that will look like this!

And then immediately these four little girls were just having the best time with this little tea set and this table and chairs, they were just the cutest sharing tea....You don't even have to ask these little girls to do something fun for a photo op...everything they are doing is too cute not to take a pic!

I love this one of all four of them...they played happily like this until I needed to change their outfits, no fights or meltdowns until I changed them!

This cracks me up how I couldn't manage to get these two close enough to each other...every time I had one where I wanted her, the other one moved away!

London turned one a couple weeks ago, and Jaime took some pics of the girls for more of my summer line....lucky for me these make the perfect one year pictures! London was hamming it up like nobody's business, while her sister was completely serious...modelling is serious business don't you know!

I am in the process of working on a catalog and these are a few of the final images to grace the pages. I do think my clothing is just so much cuter on than you can ever tell by just looking at the garment itself, so the catalog is the perfect tool to see it on all the different age girls.

It is just really difficult to select the images to use, can you tell? London also is the lucky babe to get featured as the hang tag on all my clothing! I just couldn't resist the drooling pic...it just had to be the hang tag!

I really wished these could have been outdoor shots with flowers, but you know things are just finally starting to sprout here with the winter we have had!

This is the other 4th of July skirt I designed...no blue in this one, red white and pink...so it does have a great look to wear all year, but just darling for the holiday as well. It's a version of the little frenchie skirt, so all rouched and so fun to twirl in...or climb a fence!

I am loving this photo below, this is the Knotted Twirl dress in Mulberry...I did this one to transition to back to school, it's just every little girl {and mom's} favorite, so I am sure it would be the most fun to wear going back to school, it will layer with the peasant tops under it really cute. The back is all smocked for a perfect fit, and totally adjustable to wear for a couple yearsl, who doesn't love that!

And, then there are the sweetest ruffled aprons....this are available in all sorts of color combinations, but the coral is just too perfect for a garden party! Layer over our dresses, leggings or pants...this stands alone as a great piece and every little girl needs a little apron to have her own tea party!
What you don't see is the cutest little fabric flower embellished with a button center on the other side of this apron...you will love, I promise!

So I decided to keep an ongoing trunk show of a selection of my designs in the shop all the time! Basically, everyone is always picking a different size of something or other when they are here, so I figured why not show it as a trunk show and not sell the sample, so everyone can pick exactly what they like...of course the above piece is a little more one of a kind as it features a pillowcase hem...so there will still be one of a kinds in the trunk with vintage linens and vintage linen screenprints.

Did you notice how Aspen has to feature her toy of the day? Right now she is obsessed with these plastic frogs, and she insisted that they, and her ballet tights {also a new obsession} be a part of the photos....after which she promptly lost the frogs for 24 hours because she didn't remember where she put them!

My favorite new dress for summer...the royal owl...Bonjour Mon Amie...the details are absolutely fabulous on this little ditty...and every little girl that has spotted this dress in my boutique wants it! So the puff sleeve owl dress is shown with our garden party pants detailed with birds on them...and then for even more fun, I created this halter dress/top...Aspen is wearing it as a top but it is made to wear the first year as a dress and the second year as a top...it is all smocked in the back so it is completely adjustable!

Shown here in olive citrus...a fun combo of orange and green and features the little birdcage chandelier I love so much...unique and boho chic!

Since I didn't get pics of my two girls before they were already out of their Easter dresses, I wanted to share one of my customer's pics of her daughter....she got some darling pics of her kiddos....I thought these featured the Pipsqueak Couture really well! I cannot even wait until we can get photos outside with flowers in the background...it is right around the corner, I just know it!

Zoe is wearing our french peasant top and the little frenchie skirt...both of which are available in all sorts of color combinations, although I think this may be my fav!

Aspen is helping me work on the windows, or should I say take apart the windows to play with the props...she's wearing a dress I made for her a couple years ago...pink lemonade I called it, it has the cutest vintage cherries and lemonade hanky on the front of it!

So I was saying to Aspen to give me a minute this morning because I needed to take some pictures...and she said, "of me mommy?" Well sure, we can do that too! She is becoming quite the helper lately...yesterday, a customer was coming out of the dressing room at my shop and she says, "we have lots more dresses you can try on!" She is too funny, already the sales lady at just three years old...I think that happened sooner than I imagined it would.

And a new color and pattern for my favorite dress...this one is white with bright pink and orange and a little aqua...very fun for spring and summer!

Aspen and London both love the book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie...and miss London just made me think of it with these pics...If you give London milk and cheese...then you might just get a cute picture of her!

Notice she needs two bottles of milk, plus a string cheese! She is a growing girl you know! London is wearing some vintage Pipsqueak Couture...this was Miss Aspen's outfit...the perfect crawling option to not show how filthy she can get crawling amuck at work!

Ok, I promise I am not selling my daughter for $275....I just didn't take the price off the chair! Aspen has on the cutest cardi ever...it is a little shrug in icing trimmed in orchid lace and embellished with silk and velvet flowers...then she turns around and our starlet logo is on the back with darling little crystal details...so sweet!

So if I am sewing all the time, I don't seem to find time to blog....I would just love to know how much sleep these girls get that manage to have really creative, darling blogs and then do creative, magical things! How does one do it all! At any rate, here are a few more variations on the French Farmhouse peasant dress....They are getting an amazing response in my boutique...they seem to be the perfect Easter dress, or should I say the perfect Easter dress in Colorado...they have sleeves! And it seems like we always are freezing with snow for Easter here!

This is one of my favorite combos...the green and pink roses with the sweet garden pants...I love this...especially when you add the sun hat! I didn't even try to get this on Miss London...I figure by the time she is all dolled up in it and ready for a photo, she will be crying...so here is a view on the mannequin instead...sorry London!

Aspen in Wonderland

Aspen and I are eagerly awaiting Alice in Wonderland to come out this week! So here is our little tribute with an orchid twist on Alice's famous apron dress! Forgive poor Aspen, she on her 1005th respiratory infection of the season, so she is not quite her normal self!

So this is the french peasant dress in orchid...so sweet and fun....and if you are going to Wonderland with us, I suppose you need a hat for a perfect Mad Tea Party! So pick up a darling new sunhat....all dyed to match all our puff sleeve dresses and cutie couture! These hats feature one of a kind vintage, rhinestone button centers...I am in love for sure! They are available in toddler and baby sizing...but once again my baby model was having issues with hats...so you just get to see the toddler version!

I think I have finally figured out how to tint my photos to get the look I want...a sort of modern twist on vintage....it's still a work in progress, but you know, I had to stop photo editing to sew more! I still have a lot of new spring and summer designs to come!

This one turned out with just absolute perfection... I think this is still my favorite picture of London! She reminds me of a little woodland nymph! And this was before her eye color changed to green! I think she is only 2 and 1/2 months here. So sweet...now if I can just remember this when she wakes me up four times in the middle of the night!

This is a brand new design, my little french peasant dress for spring and summer....I think this has to be my new favorite style dress! It is 2 layers and very full, and short! Layers super cute over the garden party pants! And this dress is available from 12months all the way thru a size 10 should you need it!

The apron is an antique linen piece, so this will vary a little depending on the size and colors you choose!

Today we had a little photo session in my shop, here are a few pics of the new spring goods from my French Farmhouse collection! These are the garden party ruffle pants in cream and our puff sleeve birdcage top...all available size 6 months thru size 6!

These are the pants Aspen wears to school all the time...they just look super cute, and they wash up amazingly well!

Don't you love miss Mallory's little pout...she is ready to be doing something other than modelling for her mommy the photographer!

I always wanted a little redhead, in fact my mom said she had a nightmare the other night that I was pregnant again because I wanted a little redhead....Aspen used to be one, and I hold out hope that one day she will be again....so at any rate it is great to have good customers who love your shop so much they want photos of their daughter in your shop!!! This is little Zoe, she's a month younger than Aspen, and has curly hair just like Aspen but her mommy straightens it!

So her vision was to use my favorite chair and a Kaiya Eve Pettiskirt and top for pictures....and she humored me and took a few others in her Pipsqueak Couture! I just love these pics! Miss Jaime is a magician...I am always impressed how perfectly she captures the spirit of kiddos this age....It takes me two months to get pictures this cute and she snapped all these in minutes!

Finally, after bouts of the swine flu...everyone is well and we have Christmas photos...I am still working on the tail end of addressing cards, but we are trying to enjoy the little moments of this beautiful season....

These photos are at my mom's house....just take a peek at how amazing the pink wonderland is! I am going to have to snap some photos, so you can see just how creative she really is. I think she needs to be one of the studios photographed for Where Women Create magazine....her things are truly breathtaking!

Just got back my vintage tea towels for my girlfriends for Christmas presents....these are little add-ons to their gifts! They are all monogrammed on the other side.

I just bought this stack of vintage towels from an estate liquidator....mostly because I loved the monograms so much....anyhow, it has brought about some great new ideas for the 2010 collection of Pipsqueak Couture, so stay tuned for some PC Vintage in the new year! Meet Audrey, this little darling is one of my dearest customers. Her mommy started shopping with me when Audrey was just a few months old, and this girl is so patient I can't even tell you! Her mommy is always trying new outfits on her, I mean multiple in a sitting, and this little lady is as patient as all get out! So here she is modeling her newest outfit for me!

My mom made her fab sweater, and the skirt is our tiered ruffle skirt in a beautiful pink, green and mocha combination. I do have to say, either it is easier to get good pictures of other people's children, or Audrey listens better than my girls; it was very easy to snap a few pics of this little chick!

I just patterned a new skirt for the holidays! It is the cutest thing on ever! It is such a full skirt than even Aspen asked if she could do ballet while she was wearing it! It features darling Christmas fabrics, and some that are not Christmas all in tiered ruffles asymetrically throughout the skirt, sort of a retro look to the whole thing....

There are more detailed pics on the website, but Aspen liked sitting next to the Eloise tree at the shop the most, so she behaved the best for these pictures...when does it get easier for your model to start listening to you?

So yesterday while Aspen was at school, I started to get all the Christmas decorations out and ready to tear apart the shop windows for redecoration. I had this idea that I wanted to take one of my children's mannequins and dress her up in antique trims. So then after Aspen woke up from her nap I asked her if she wanted to help me decorate for Christmas, and she excitedly said yes, she sure did! So I get the box of trims out, and off she went decorating this mannequin for an hour or so....Those of you who know me, know that this is so close to what I would have done, you wouldn't even believe it! Hard to believe I can now hire my 2 and a half year old to decorate my shop for me! It was so much fun!!!

She stuck birds and glittered stars and everything darling all onto this mannequin! I think it is perfect for my vision of my Christmas windows!

So on Sunday, the girls were in their sort of matching dresses, and I didn't want to miss a photo op, so I tried to snap a few pics...and now that they love each other...they laugh at each other and it gets ridiculously hard to get a picture where the two of them are smiling. Well okay, I don't even think I am going for smiling at this point...just looking at the camera, maybe....and I have been working on all my Christmas invites to my holiday open house, so it gets me thinking. How on earth will I ever have a clever Christmas photo of these two?

I mean, seriously, what the heck is going on here...They are just in their own world here...would a professional be better at this...do they just do it to me?

They are happy enough...they just don't want to do some cute, darling photos for their mommy...so now I am going to have to get really creative with my Christmas cards this year...any thoughts?

One of my new favorite designs! Just look at the drool....London likes it as well! I did this for holiday, this coloration looks festive, but is still appropriate all winter, I also produced in red and olive though, so it will be extra Christmasy!

I love the pocket on the pants...the velvet just makes the whole thing pop, I am just waiting to see how long it takes Aspen to start putting stuff in London's pocket...she loves pockets, whether they are on her clothing or her sister's...

Been away for a bit...so sorry...I am a mad sewing woman! And I went to NYC and Philadelphia with both the girls...what an adventure...here is Aspen's favorite thing we did....the Morris Arboretum in Philadelphia...she was trying to hatch an egg...the cutest thing ever!

So then when we got back I was swamped sewing for a show, but here are a few peeks of the new winter pieces now available in my etsy shop. This is the birdcages union suit...I love it! There is also a pink and white cameo tree union suit available, very fun...trimmed in lace and silk ribbon flowers!

So there is a darling birdcage down the front leg...and another hanging from baby's bottom...full of ruffles!

And now I am stocking my boutique with all things Christmas...hard to believe it's that time again!
This is one of my pipsie dresses...all in Christmas bells...it is a soft pink onesie {pipsie} with a gorgeous ruffled skirt on it with a crochet lace waist and silk ribbon flowers. Very fun for non-traditional Christmas colors...if you are like me and have your little darling outfitted in Christmas clothing for the months of november and december! Gotta be festive!

My latest creation for your viewing pleasure! Now, in person these are even more fun as this dress is a tiered ruffle dress..all hand dyed to coordinate back to the rest of my line. So you can match up your babies in versions of pink, coral and orchids...

So I make lots of little dresses with aprons for little babies and toddlers, but many of you never see that as they are so one of a kind, and they tend to fly out before I even attempt photos, but now I have a new little apron dress for babies and toddlers that unites both things I like to do...use vintage and screenprint! So here it is with a matching legging...so cute I can't even stand it!

There is a lot more to come, if only I can get pictures of all of it. Lots of new cardigans for babies to go over the short sleeved things and lots of new long sleeve goodies...stay tuned!

Here's a close up of the new damask tree dress in wisteria. It has a super cute fit to it and it really comfy on the kiddos! The wisteria color is screenprinted in black and silver and the damask pattern wraps around the whole dress! The tree is all embellished in Swarovski crystals as well....so now do you just really want one on your toddler....well we are giving one away with the fabulous Rhonna Farrer! Oh my goodness, can you even stand my mom's latest find! She is just the sweetest little gal ever! So sweet and petite, this little lady stands just under 5 inches tall! Mom decided to sell her on ebay this week....ugh...I wish I were her lucky recipient! But you can be if you decide you want to bid on her! I've never seen such a darling doll in a little powder box like this!

the diet of a super hero...

I just had to tell you all this because I know I few of you who read my blog and shop with me locally keep asking if I ever caught my thief from last summer who stole $1100 in merchandise from me! Well...yesterday was the day! I feel like a super hero because I had made three onesies, two hats, two burp cloths and I had the two kiddos with me at the shop...and then...I managed to nab my thief when it was busy!

She was in the dressing room and I saw her do her usual take something extra off the hanger and put with this dress I am going to try on...so I stood outside her room talking to another customer and she opened the curtain and I asked where the dress was and she said she didn't know about a pink dress...she didn't take it...she insisted three times and so then I just stuck my hand down her large purse and went in for the kill and took the dress bag...she walked away from me so fast saying she didn't take the dress....ha! Are you serious right now? And I told her I knew everything she took from me before and she better never come back in my shop or I would have the police here. I was so busy and with the kiddos in tow I decided against involving the police yesterday...but I think she will never come back...I mean seriously, is she that stupid? I hate doing that when I am busy with regular customers, but thankfully my customer was like, "oh honey, I was going to whack her with my purse if you needed me!"

So anyway, I decided I deserved a decaf vanilla latte...thank you very much!

I have been making lots of new flower headbands and clippies for the shop...online and in my local boutique...locally, I cannot keep them in stock! As soon as I make five, I sell five!

Always fun to have a new model to try things out on! The flowers are really huge on her head, but I love it!

The double ruffle bows are also really fun, and more practical on an everyday basis...practical for you girly girls...if you are like me! And my favorite of all pics is below...seriously....how can you not want this headband if your baby turns out smiling like this?

All the spring flowers are opening up and it's impossible to get Aspen out of the yard! And she knows the name of each variety! She is constantly picking flowers, or pulling the whole annual plant right out of the ground!

And then she poses in front of a flower all the time, so how could I not snap some photos!

Thankfully today all she felt the need to pick was a dandelion!
